Films like "Pillow Talk", "Move Over", "Darling", and "Calamity Jane" were made special due to Doris Day and her multi-talented abilities to sing and act. Her career launched in the 1960s and she was one of the biggest stars of that era. The last film she was in 1968 and, after a short time on TV, she retired from acting altogether in 1975. She’s now 95 years old and back in 1978, she set up the Doris Day Annual Foundation dedicated to animal welfare. She has dedicated her life to the welfare of animals and is a huge advocate for their wellbeing.
